Where is Pim?
Olof Landstrom
In this Lost and Found story, Pom is playing happily in the park one day, helping Pim to fly, when along comes an enthusiastic dog who runs away with Pim. Pom is inconsolable – is his favourite toy under a bush? Under a bench? In the pond? No, all the potential sightings turn out to be bits of abandoned rubbish. Then, just as hope begins to fade, Pim returns safely, cradled in the paws of the errant dog.
Sentences are simple and can easily be repeated by young children as the book is shared. Illustrations are colourful with lots of action. Perhaps the greatest strength of this book is the universality of child and toy, which permits young readers to readily see themselves in the story. It’s a story with wide appeal, humour, a sense of movement, and a safe and happy ending.
This book would be ideal for sharing with toddlers at home, at nursery, or wherever you are, individually or in a group setting.
