Nursery Rhymes need to be heard again and again for each new generation to discover them, and it’ always fun to see them developed further. This version is a gently funny take on the little piggy who went to market. Of course we always knew those little porkers had a lot more to do than stay at home and eat roast beef, so it’s great to see them hula, hula, stomp and whizz amongst other things. Utterly delightful and expressive little piggy tots dance and sail across the pages, each with their own character and colour repeated on each spread so we can get to know all five of them. And what little dears they are! Very young children will adore the simplicity and repetition of the text and the more grown up readers will enjoy discussing the pictures. This book has lots of charm.
