Esther’s Rainbow
Sara Acton
Esther sees a beautiful rainbow, but as quickly as it is there, it disappears again. Esther spends each day of the week trying to track it down. Her days are filled with colour but while she can taste, touch, see and hear individual colours, she cannot find her rainbow. Lots of white space helps the rainbow in this story burst off the page when it finally appears and the lead up to its discovery is handled beautifully - children will be genuinely excited to find it.
Beautiful illustrations complement a lovely text that celebrates discovering colours in the world around us and the magical nature of rainbows in all of their brilliance. A simple idea perfectly executed make this an ideal picture book for any little ones learning their colours and days of the week.
